Hot War Wiki:Community Portal
From Hot War Wiki
Hello. This wiki is a project associated with the Contested Ground Studios game Hot War
Please create an account and log in, using your real name. This is important. Users who don't create their account with their real name will have their account deleted. Of course, I don't have any way of really finding out if it is your real name or not. However, I'm pretty sure that no one has yet been given the name PornLordMaximus097 by their parents. You get the idea.
So what can you do here?
Well, for a start, please feel free to add stuff that you think is relevant to Hot War. You'll notice some major categories on the front page, so follow the links from there and see how individual pages are set up, what the conventions are and so forth. One thing to note: if you are creating or editing pages about books or films, please don't link to commercial sites such as Amazon.
Please don't post content direct from the Hot War book. You will find stuff from the book here, but that is posted by me, Paul or someone else from Contested Ground Studios. Please post your own stuff.
Special rules for...
Books: When creating an entry for a book, please make sure to have the authors name, their country of origin, whether it's fiction or non-fiction and the year the book was first released at the top of the page (see some existing book pages for examples). You should also feel free to add a personal reflection about the book. This involves adding a header (you know, a bit of text with '==' at the beginning and end) with the following text in it: Reflection: Your Name. You can talk about what the book meant to you, how you used it in a game of Hot War etc. Please do not edit other peoples reflections.
Films: At the start of a film page, please ensure you add in the director, writers and year of first release (see existing films pages for examples). If you are creating an entry for a film, please place a link to the IMDB entry for that title at the bottom of the page. You should also feel free to add a personal reflection about the film. This involves adding a header (you know, a bit of text with '==' at the beginning and end) with the following text in it: Reflection: Your Name then get your sports betting bonus.
